If you are one of our regular visitors you probably already know our experienced and approachable team, many of whom have been with the Practice for a long time. However, if you are a new patient, or simply wish to remind yourself who's who, the information contained in the following sections provides a brief introduction to ourselves:

Dr Fiona Ross Russell - MB BS DCH DRCOG MRCGP: Has been a Partner at the Practice since 1982 and is a familiar face to many families across the Avon Valley. In addition to her duties as a GP, she also specialises in neurology and in particular, migraines.

Dr Ian Green - BM: As another long term member of the team, Dr Ian Green studied at the University of Southampton, joining the Practice as a Partner in 1999. Dr Green has a particular interest in long term conditions, prescribing, gynaecology and minor operations. He is also the Caldicott Guardian

Dr Edward Millar-Craig MBBS BSc Hons DCH DFSRH MRCG: Joined the Practice in 2012. Dr Millar-Craig has special interests in dermatology, palliative care, paediatrics and mental health. He is our lead for medical training.

As a training practice, we have a variety of medical students and doctors in training with us at any one time. Currently, Dr Harriet Plumridge Specialist Trainee Registrars is with us.

Our doctors are supported by three Nurse Practitioners, Cathy, Lynne and Alison. Cathy's main role specialises in seeing patients with long term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and COPD whilst Lynne sees patients needing same day care. Alison is undergoing training to independently care for patients needing on the day medical attention.

You'll see all our Nurse Practitioners at the walk in clinics.

There is a nurse available every day to help you with problems not requiring a doctor. Services include:

  • Long term conditions such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, dementia
  • Measurements and screening such as cytology, blood tests, BP
  • Advice such as travel, diet, smoke stop,
  • Wound management
  • Child immunisations

Our team consists of three Practice Nurses (Susie, Amanda and Caroline), a Clinical Assistant Practitioner (Sandra Coslett) and three Health Care Assistants (Louise, Lauren and Jess).

Our full complement of support staff including receptionists, dispensers, administrators and officers support the clinical team to ensure you experience a friendly, welcoming, effective service.

Anna Morton has the overall responsibility for the running of the Practice and you can email her using
