The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments consider reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.
Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication. Please remember to bring proof of your exemption with you when collecting your medication. This information is recorded on your medical record for future reference.

If you have to pay for 4 or more prescription items in 3 months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.

The Medicine Home Delivery Service enables patients with restricted mobility to have their medication delivered to their homes rather than having to visit the practice. Jim Mackenzie delivers medication every Monday morning between 0930 and 1230 and on Tuesdays after a Bank holiday. He always carries NHS ID.
