We operate an appointment system for all weekday surgeries, on a "one appointment, one patient" basis.  Whilst every effort is made to keep to appointment times, occasionally a patient with serious problems, or an emergency mean that a GP will run late.  We would ask for your understanding and patience if this is the case.

Urgent Appointments

There are a number of appointments reserved as urgent appointments, which will only be released and allocated on the day of that surgery by the receptionists.  Consequently, a patient will be offered an appointment/telephone appointment on the day if they contact the surgery before 10:00 am, but not necessarily at their preferred surgery or with their preferred Doctor. 

Evening Surgeries

There is a late evening session held at Durrington surgery every MONDAY evening, with apppointments from 6.30 - 9pm.  Please ring either surgery to book these.

Telephone Appointments

We can arrange for a Doctor to telephone you to discuss test results or for other matters which do not need face to face contact.  The Receptionists can arrange these for you.  Please make sure that you give them an appropriate telephone number on whihch the Docto can ring you.

N.B. If your EMIS Access password was fewer than eight characters long, you may be unable to log in to SystmOnline. If this is the case, please contact the Practice and we will issue a new password to you. This is the opposite of the information provided in our letter. We sincerely apologise for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.

Please let us know if you are unable to keep an appointment so that we can use it for others. 

Patients are asked to telephone before 10.30am if a visit is requested for that day. Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time.

Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls. Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to do a home visit. Requests should therefore be restricted to occasions when it is medically impossible to get to the surgery.
